COVID19 CANCELLATION T&Cs

Our temporary cancellation terms and conditions:

For all bookings made between 1st of April and 31st of October 2020 – if there are travelling and/or hospitality restrictions in place in Scotland at the time of your stay in Highland Club Scotland, we will refund the payment in full or offer to re-book the same property up to a year ahead, honouring the seasonal rates valid at the time of the booking.

Health and Safety

The Health and Safety of all our guests, staff and visitors is of the upmost importance to Highland Club Scotland and our sister company Abbey Management Services (Scotland) Ltd. We understand that since the spread of Covid19 that it is necessary to review our high standard of cleaning.

Our guests want to know they will be as safe as possible and the risk of infection is as small as possible.

With excellent cleaning standards, longer change over periods, Personal Protective Equipment and social distancing in place, we can play our part in reducing the spread of the virus. We are “Good To Go”!

Cleaning and Changeover Process

Our cleaning process has always been a large part of our operations, and has always been a high standard. We aim to continue and improve upon these processes.

We have introduced thorough sanitation procedures for all our properties including and not restricted to fogging/misting and UV lighting.

Our procedures will include anti-bacterial cleaning of all areas that previous and future guests may touch. For example, door handles, light switches, kitchen appliances, TV controls.

PPE

Our staff will always have a supply of Personal Protective Equipment such as disposable protective gloves, aprons and face masks. These will protect our staff, our guests and our visitors from infection of Covid19.

You may find upon arrival, or during your stay that when we communicate face to face with you, we are wearing this equipment. The intention is that we protect you and others from the risk of infection.

Checking In

To increase social distancing, it is necessary for us to alter our checking in process. We ask that our guests:

  1. Contact us by phone, text, or WhatsApp on 07715 055908 or 07432 620202 to let us know you of your arrival.
  2. Select one member of your party to take part in our brief informative guide.
  3. Read thoroughly all the information we send, including how to use equipment in your property.
  4. Understand and oblige with instructions we ask during your stay and for checking out.

Checking Out

The ASSC (Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers) and the Scottish Government provide guidelines for us and we follow them to the best of our knowledge and capabilities. However, we must ask our guests to also follow some of these guidelines.

  1. Please ensure to seal rubbish bags and remove them from the property to the rubbish and recycling area near the exit.
  2. Any games, books or DVD’s you have touched during your stay should be left out, obvious for us to see. We will santise these for the next guests.
  3. Please let us know your time of checkout either by phone call, text or WhatsApp.

By following these guidelines, you will undoubtedly be helping reduce the risk of spread and infection of COVID19. You will find some further advice and guidance in your property.

Furthermore

Should you experience any symptoms of COVID19 upon your arrival, we may need to refuse entry. If you experience symptoms during your stay, you may be asked to self-isolate. If you require to extend your stay, you may be liable for the additional costs. We recommend you arrange insurance to cover for these possibilities.

In the instance where you have experienced symptoms during your stay, we may require to ask for information about which areas you have been in and who you have had contact with within the Abbey. This will allow the Facilities Team to ensure the necessry areas are santised.

By following these guidelines, we can maximise protection of all our guests and staff.

What To Do If You Experience COVID19 Symptoms

If you have the following symptoms then you may have Coronavirus:

  • A high temperature
  • A new and continuous cough
  • A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

You must stay at home (self-isolate) again and ask for a test if you get symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) more than once.

You must also self-isolate again if someone you live with (or someone in your support bubble) gets symptoms again.

To protect others, do not go to places like a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital if you have any of these symptoms. Stay at home (self-isolate) and get a test. You must not leave home if you are self-isolating.
