Top of the Fort is a striking, light-filled and spacious accommodation with floor to ceiling windows and accesses the terrace from all rooms. The apartment is impressively furnished from the unusual semi-circular leather sofa in the sitting room to the marshmallow chair in the large hallway offering an opportunity to relax with a book, or just watch the effect of changing light on the fantastic scenery. Unique within the Highland Club, the large (greater than 100 metres sq.) private terrace area surrounds the property which is fully decked and has a secure waist height wall. Ratten seating and table together with comfortable cushions. The terrace offers all round views to Loch Ness, the Caledonian canal, the gothic architecture, stained glass windows and the surrounding hills.

The property is on the first and second floors with ground floor access – there are no lifts. Arrival time is from 4 pm, departure time by 10 am. This is a no smoking apartment (including the terrace) and no pets are allowed.
Highland Club Facilities
You will have access to the club lounge with its Wifi, snooker table, table football, books and games; outside there is a tennis court (we have tennis rackets and balls) ; badminton (we have rackets and shuttlecocks); large chess set, children’s play area, lochside access (you can fish!) and barbecue area.
The swimming pool is now open! - plus we supply free pool towels to use during your stay. There is a sauna, plus steam and fitness equipment rooms at your disposal - all inclusive.
Top of the Fort is a contemporary penthouse situated within the only surviving bastion wall of Fort Augustus (from which the local village took its name). Situated on the southern tip of Loch Ness it offers fantastic views of the Loch, and the surrounding mountains from the wrap-around terrace, but is just a 5 minute walk from the local facilities in the village.
