Welcome to Loch Ness Properties.

We have a cross section of properties for re-sale at the Highland Club and there are many reasons why you should look closely at what we have to offer you, whether it be your dream second home or holiday rental, read on or skip straight to view all properties for sale

The Abbey

Fort Augustus Abbey was built on the grounds of the original Fort, and sits majestically at the foot of Loch Ness with stunning views and a remarkable history.

Parts of the original fort still stand and whilst the abbey on the outside has been retained ostensibly as it was,  inside it has been converted to luxury apartments which combine modern day living convenience with original features and spacious design.
Set in more than twenty acres of private grounds on the southern shores of Loch Ness, The Highland Club is surrounded on three sides by the loch, two rivers and the picturesque Caledonian Canal.
Expansive lawns with banks of colourful rose and rhododendron bushes contrast with the formal drive with its avenue of trees curving past the Abbey School's original cricket green.

Facilities include Indoor swimming pool and spa, Club room with snooker table, tennis court, croquet, free Wi-Fi and much more, all free to use for owners and guests.

The Original Boat House can still house your boat while you enjoy its main function as a superb restaurant with views of the loch to match the extensive menu.

The Area

The abbey also sits on the edge of the picturesque village of Fort Augustus, walk outside and you will see the Caledonian Canal swing bridge and Locks in operation as boats of all kind come sailing down the Caledonian canal into the loch.

Take a boat trip on Loch Ness, visit Urqhuart Castle or have dinner at Dores after an exhilerating speedboat ride on the Rib boat. Fishing trips can also be arranged, and radar equipment below deck on the Royal Scott cruise boat helps you search for Nessie

At the other end of the loch lies the attractive and somehow intimate city of  Inverness.  Going south visit Fort William, and Glen Coe climb Ben Nevis, or ski at Aviemore. The "Harry Potter" steam train will take you from Fort William to the wonderful coastal resort of Mallaig in old fashioned style

The Apartments.

There is something to suit everyone at the Highland Club. For stunning views over Loch Ness the Monastery and Abbey Church have spacious apartments still available with  one or  two bedrooms. The most stunning architecture and original features are in the Old School, two or three bedrooms. Modern and stylish one and two beds are available from as little as £180,000  in the Raven Wing and Brothers Wing. For £300,000 you can have your own 2 bedroom Cottage within the development situated beside the River Tarff and next to the Abbey Church close to the swimming pool and gymnasium.

The Canal museum is well worth a visit and for walking , running or cycling  enthusiasts the canal banks,  woods and hills provide almost too much choice.
