The Boys Dormitory is a very spacious 95sq mtr, one bedroom apartment positioned on the vaulted top floor of the old monastery, with huge arched stone mullioned windows. The apartment is one of only a few in the entire abbey to enjoy views in three directions, with every window offering sensational views of the landscape. The apartment is decorated in the most luxurious style, combining quality antique and modern furnishings, featuring Victorian floorboards, antique paintings and prints, and vintage lighting sourced from a local chapel, with wonderful attention to detail throughout. The most idyllic place, a far cry from when up to forty boarding students shared what was the original junior boys school dormitory, located between the Abbot’s chapel and a lovely bell tower. 

The bright and airy large living room and open plan kitchen area offers the very finest level of comfort including Duresta armchairs and sofa. The view from the large arched stone mullioned living room window straight up the loch is truly spectacular: a perfect seat to while away the afternoon reading a good novel, or watching for the legendary Loch Ness Monster.

The gorgeous master bedroom features another massive stone mullioned arched window overlooking the Cloister Gardens, the turrets and towers of the Abbey, and the mountains beyond. Watching the stars at night from the comfort of your bed through this fantastic window is a magical experience.  King-sized antique brass and iron bed, Victorian oak church pew, luxurious bed linens, choice of feather or fibre pillows, to ensure total relaxation and comfort for the duration of your stay.

Living Area:
32" Flat screen TV, radio/DVD player, I-pod dock, library of books, DVDs and CDs, board games, magazines, tourist information.

Master Bedroom:
Kingsize antique brass bed with luxurious white bed linen, choice of different tog duvets, I-pod dock/charger, hairdryer, steam iron & ironing board, black-out curtains.

Bathroom: 
Deep luxurious roll-top bath, separate power shower, thick towels and dressing gowns, Arran Aromatics toiletries.

Kitchen:
Electric oven with gas hob, washer/dryer, granite worktops, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, top spec utensils/kitchen equipment.

Facilities at the abbey include: Indoor swimming pool in the converted chapel, sauna, stunning club longe including 12 foot billiards table in the fomer monks refectory, loch side restaurant, tennis court, concierge service, fishing rights, etc.

Luxury white bed linen, towels and dressing gowns, toiletries, welcome pack including coffee, tea, milk, shortbread, wine, parking space, Wi-Fi in club lounge downstairs, electricity, gas, central heating, and of course all the Highland Club facilities are available to you during your stay at the abbey.  You will be met on arrival and shown to the apartment.

Concierge services available to arrange stalking, hunting, fishing, white water rafting, boat hire and other outdoor pursuits.

The property is at the top of three flights of stairs with no lift access.  The climb is well worth the effort, as the views are amongst the best in the abbey.

Arrival time is from 4pm, and departure time is by 10am on your final day.

NOTE: There are currently some ongoing renovation works at the abbey, the Monastery conversion is complete and a few other areas are now 95% complete. This should not affect your holiday, although this cannot be guaranteed, so the prices take the building works into account. The indoor pool will be complete as of February 2012, although there could be the inevitable snaggings required during 2012 resulting in the closure of the pool for short periods. This is unlikely but our rates are staying at the pre-pool pricings, 2013 prices will be higher.

Sadly we are unable to accommodate children under 16 years old or pets.
