This luxury two bedroom apartment is located on the raised ground floor of the Old School building within St Benedict’s Abbey Fort Augustus. This grade A listed building is of national heritage and forms the Highland Club resort and development.
The above average size accommodation consists of separate lounge, kitchen with dining area, master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and separate shower, family bathroom with fitted power shower and a mezzanine level, overlooking the dining area, that is set up as a suite with two single beds and a sitting /dressing area.
This is one of only a few apartments that enjoy separate lounge accommodation with a newly installed fire to provide a cosy atmosphere.
The rooms originally used as the religious education classrooms, now form the lounge and master bedroom.
The dining area is part of the room used as the refectory when the Abbey was open to the public.
With views over open lawns, the Caledonian Canal and to the mountains of the Great Glen beyond, it is forever changing with the weather and the seasons.
The facilities available to guests include, tennis court, large life size chess in the cloisters garden, club room with snooker table, table tennis and a swimming pool with spa (available end 2010/early 2011).
Situated within the twenty acres of grounds and at the waters edge is the Boathouse restaurant and all this is only a few minutes walk away from the centre of Fort Augustus village with its shops and hotels to meet your everyday needs.
Trout fishing is available from the grounds of the Abbey and a nine hole golf course is only five minutes away, makes this is the perfect setting for your relaxing holiday.
