Aspenwood is a luxury modern self catering holiday cottage overlooking Loch Ness.

It is situated in the secluded, peaceful woodland of Farigaig Forest.The cottage has been equipped to a very high standard and the owners Lyn & Ray Cooper personally maintain the property and look forward to welcoming all guests on their arrival. There is a private decking which can be accessed from the master bedroom or the lounge and offers supurb views overlooking Loch Ness and the wildlife which inhabit the nearby forest. Walk down to the nearby beach and dip your toes in the cool water of the world famous loch. We welcome 2 dogs.

Facilities  

All rooms are on one level and the double glazing and oil fired central heating ensures the cottage stays warm and cosy throughout the year. There are three bedrooms comprising of a master bedroom with ensuite, a twin and a single bedroom which sleep 5 comfortably. All bedrooms have ample wardrobe space, bedside tables, hairdryers, modern lamps and Televisons. There is also a large separate bathroom.

The open plan kitchen/dining area has a laminate tiled floor and three large windows  all overlooking Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle ensuring the room is light and airy. The kitchen is fully equipped with a good selection of crockery and cutlery and everything else needed to make life easy and cooking a pleasure. It is furnished with a Neff oven and hob, a Miele integrated dishwasher, a Panasonic microwave and a Miele fridge-freezer. The large oak dining table and chairs  complement the dining area along with a wall mounted 20" Toshiba TV and windows overlooking the loch.

The spacious lounge has a large picture window and a comfortable three piece suite, coffee tables and a 37" flat screen TV with HDD/DVD unit. A CD player with a wide eclectic selection of music hopefully to suit everyone's taste. There is a desktop computer with Broadband for guests to use free of charge and also WiFi connection for personal laptops. There are plenty of games, books, local literature, maps and printed laminated files of "Walks" and "Day trips by car" for guests to take out and use. A door leads out onto the private decking where guests can relax and enjoy the wonderful panoramic views over Loch Ness.

A separate laundry/drying room is situated just to the rear of the cottage. Sit out in the open plan garden area surrounding the cottage and watch the boats on the loch and the various wildlife come to visit. You are certain to see many different species of birds and the native red squirrels which come out of the forest to feed at the nut feeders. You may also spot the deer and possibly the elusive pine marten and badgers.

Good quality bed linen on the duvets, fitted sheets, mattress protectors and 2 pillows per person are provided.

Hand towels and tea towels are provided in the kitchen as well as hand towels in both bathrooms. Additional sets of towels comprising of a bath sheet, a bath towel and a hand towel can be ordered at the cost of £5 per set.
